Traffic Pattern Changes at Hwy 48 – White City and Hwy 1
As part of ongoing Regina Bypass construction, earthwork activities will be starting for the new White City overpass. Initially, the works at this location consisted of installing the foundations for the new overpass structure and traffic management apparatus to protect workers. Both of these activities are now nearly completed.
The next phase of construction will see earthworks commence on both the north and south sides of Highway 1. Once open to traffic, the new overpass will provide safe access for motorists to Highway 1 and White City. As well, this work will improve the service road network between Regina and Balgonie.
In order to facilitate this next phase, Regina Bypass Design Builders (RBDB) will be closing both the Highway 1 eastbound off-ramp and the Highway 1 eastbound on-ramp at Highway 48. During these closures, traffic will be accommodated at the existing junction of Highways 1 and 48. Please see the attached map for details.
Highway 48 Ramp Closure – May 6 2016 Closure
These closures are targeted to begin as early as May 6 and remain until late 2017.
